What's the price differece between the 780Ti and the 980?

For a couple hundred dollars less, the 970 is *near equivalent to a 780 Ti, with faster synthetic times (which probably don't matter), more performance to the watt, and lower temperatures. It's a no-brainer in my book.

being in the same boat, I'm still gonna SLI my 780Ti's. And a 970 is not equal to a 780Ti, more like equal to a 780. And a 780Ti and 980 will trade blows in games. Only difference being power draw. And I've never been one who cares about how hot or how much power a card draws.

It depends on the games but what you say is true, I have a 970 :P but the import thing is what the OP is going to pay, tere's no reason to buy the 780Ti if it's $30 more than the 970

Just sli, the 900 series isn't worth it if you have a 780/ti. The whole power and heat thing is a stupid debate. Not everyone cares about power and the heat isn't a problem if you know how to install fans in a case.

I would just get the next cards after the 900 series. Especially if you plan on staying single monitor for gaming.
