Eyefinity+Crossfire

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

no it will fullscreen on one monitor and the other monitor will turn black and wont be usable.

Yes you are correct xfire only kicks in when its fullscreen.

Alright so I want to get myself a second monitor  for various reasons including having say a game and a website opened at the same time. I currently have a crossfire rig and I was thought(confirmed by the internet and my own tests), that I will only be able to use both cards to the max potential if my game is on full screen. So my question is, if I'm playing a game on my main monitor and have something else on my second monitor, is it considered to be "fullscreen" or will I have to use both screens(which is not very convenient) to be able to use both cards at their fullest?

Wait what

If youre not doing something intensive on the other monitor it won't affect performance more than an fps or two.

The difference between Fullscreen and windowed/borderless windowed is that one "stops" background programs, while the latter doesn't.

So basically if i want to play and browse at the same time, I'll have to set my game to borderless windows, correct?
