Hey guys,

So I'm looking to do a new server because I'm using an old Dell made for XP as my current media server.

So here's what I've got so far http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/DmBgCJ.

Not totally sure on the SSD and how much a server will need an SSD as a boot driver, but its there just in case I end up deciding to get it.

Thanks,

Jem

I wouldn't use the G3258, I'd grab something like the G3220. No need for the G3258. Otherwise looks fine, you might want more than 32GB of storage though.. :P

It looks good to me :D That will be plenty for a media server. As for the SSD, if your are going to use Linux then 32GB will be plenty but if you are going to use Windows I suggest atleast 64GB.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M
