i am building a pc with 1700$ budget (israel so it is around a 1300$ pc in the us).

 

i would like to know what i could change with this price and looking for future proofing 

 

cpu: intel core i5-4690k (over clocking).

gpu: gigabyte g1-gaming gtx 970 (over clocking).

motherboard: msi z97 gaming 5

case: nzxt phantom 530 black.

power supply: seasonic g series semi moduler 750 watt.

cpu cooler:: noctua NH-D14

case fans: 2x corsair air flow 120mm

ram: corasir vengence 2x4gb 1600mhz (approved for this mobo) (all ready owned).

hard drive : western digital blue 1tb

boot drive: intel ssd 530 series 120gb. (all ready owned)

There is no such thing as "future proofing", but why not get the newer generation i5-4690k?

i think he meant 4690k

Maybe you should think about the Noctua NH-D15 instead of the D14, it has better compatibility for high profile RAM. Apart from that everything seems solid, have fun!

Corsair Vengeance memory is listed as incompatible with the NH-D14 cooler at http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_ram_gen&products_id=34&lng=en#DDR3_Corsair. You may want to consider the NH-U12S instead as it does not overhang the memory slots.

 

Unless you are planning another gpu the 550W G Series model would be more than enough. The 650W model would be fine for a two gpu system.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
