hello im wondering before i try. i have an asus m5a99x evo rev 1. which have two sata controllers the amd one and "jmicro" one, so all my disc are attached to the amd one in the next config:

1 ssd 840 pro 120gb

2 hdd wd blue 320gb on raid 0 (commonly accessed documenres and files)

1 wd 640gb only storage series and movies

1 1tb wd green more storage.

so....

my downloads folder for all the programs its on the raid 0 array and when i decompress some heavy rars all my machine get so much slower even for open a simple program or open a new tab in Chrome or Firefox. i know that it's because the amount of data that is getting read and written but , and here Is my question.

if i set the raid 0 on the "jmicro" and the rest drives on the amd controller, does the controller data bus will not get overload when I decompress files and allows me to keep using the rest of the pc without any problems? thanks and sorry for the bad English

Usually it's recommended to run RAID on the native (in this case AMD) SATA controller

Yes it does, but mostly only for benchmarks and file transfers.  For average daily use, not so much.  The perception of the speed benefit of a SSD is in it's response time, and not so much on file transfer speeds unless opening really big files.
