Relying on Windows Update for the drivers will get you Microsoft certified drivers.

Your hardware will work just fine. For some hardware where they get frequent updates, like your graphics cards, it won't be the latest drivers. But it will be decently new drivers.

For stuff that rarely gets updated like wireless card, SATA controller, Ethernet controller, chipset, and so on, you'll probably have the latest ones.

Some hardware, Windows Update won't be able to find. This is due that the hardware manufacture refusal to give their drivers to Microsoft. I don't know why. Usually dedicated sound card have this problem, and USB 3.0 controllers (for those not part of the Intel chipset)
