I was wondering what the most powerful video card I can put into my system without my i3 bottlenecking it, I've been told a GeForce GTX 660 is about the limit and anything more will be bottlenecked.

Is this true?

I'm not completely sure. I'm looking for benchmarks between processors for gpu's right now.

I'd be perfectly comfortable with a 660 Ti or a 7870 with a i3 3220.

For the 2120, the 660 Ti and 7870 MIGHT be stretching it a bit. 660 and 7850 should be fine though.

Dual cores are still pretty strong. I personally don't need any more than a dual core. Probably best paired with a 7770, they seem to be a cute couple :3
