I have a quick question, I am building my first gaming computer and would like some guidance. I was fortunate enough to have one of my contractor friends donate a brand new GeForce GTX 680 Classified to me, PN 04G-P4-3688-KR. I was looking to do some 4k gaming and wanted to SLi two of them however, after searching the interwebs for a similar model they're just too expensive or used. Would I be able to pair a PNY VCGGTX7704XPB-OC  with it being that the specs are fairly similar, with no issues? This is my first post by the way>> Go me!

770 is a very similar card to the 680, you'd have to bios flash one of them to give it the same hardware ID as the other.

you could fry your card whilist bios flashing it so there is risk.

but it's possible.

Shouldnt work with Nvidia. With AMD you can crossfire for example a 7950 and a 7970

Stick with nvidia. If your budget can accept it get a 970. If that's too expensive then you shouldn't be looking at 4k either.
