Hi, i was going to buy a GTX 560 for my old pc (cpu core 2 duo 2.9 Ghz , PCI-E 16 bits) but many ppl told me that the GTX 560 ll lose its preformence cauz of the cpu isnt that good. So i decided to buy a weaker card.Is the GTX 550 ti good for the core 2 duo? i need any card that run games like far cry 3 and AC3 with high setting however my resolution is 1024x768, also how much power supply i ll need to buy for the new graphic card (mine is 300W or 400w i dont really remember but i m ganna buy a new one) my current graphic card is GT 8500

Any suggetion of an other cards then the GTX 550 ti would be nice too ;3

If you're going to get a new graphics card, I would recommend you get a newer generation card -- for that level of performance, you might look at something like a Radeon HD 7770, for example. Even a 7750 will give you ultra settings at that resolution for several games.

Will the HD 7770 run with core 2 duo 2.9 Ghz, also I got a PCI-E 16 bit (an old one) will that be a problem ?
