Which gaming headphone between these 3 ?

k3nnis

Hi All,

Between these which would be best for gaming and a bit of music.

CS:GO, BF4, COD, LoL, DOTA2

SteelSeries Siberia v2 non USB

Razer Kraken Pro

Turtle Beach PX22

I will be using it with my Asus ROG Maximus VII Ranger Z97 Motherboards onboard audio which is a realtek chipset I believe.

Thanks,

K.

If possible, go for the func hs260's. I really enjoy my pair. Very comfortable, good mic, and pretty decent sounding to boot.

EDIT: I see that these are likely out of your target budget. Disregard my suggestion.

Go with the Siberia v2. I've used all three of these, the kraken have way overpowering bass resulting in little use except gaming, PX22 just sounds kind of washed out to me, but the Siberia v2's which my brother has, is fine for music and games without overpowered bass. I think the Siberia's would be the only headset I'd own if I didn't have the problem with it not sitting on my head properly.. Don't worry most people don't have that problem with it due to their had shape, only a few do. :)

Thanks guys. I am in Sydney, Australia. The Siberia v2 is approx A$80, Kraken Pro A$80, PX22 is $80 as well. I looked at the X12 and they are under A$60, which is tempting....

My budget is anything under A$100.

What is the difference between the 5HV3 vs v2?

Idk about specs but they are both closed, retractable mic. But the 5h can be taken apart for travel which makes it really compact, and it has a cool detachable end which can go in a mobile connecter (1.3x5mm) or pc (2x3.5mm).

ok thanks. Are the v2's built well?

they're decent, but over two years I went through three pairs of them, usually the right speaker cut out around 8 months or so EDIT: V3's were launched not long ago btw
