Can I do this?

Alright, so I need to grab something off my grandma's computer, which is on a totally different network, in a totally different city, on a different ISP. I haven't gotten TeamViewer set up on it, and even then, that would creep her out or something if someone starting controlling her computer. So... Can I do this? I have a program called HFS set up on it that basically gives you a home file server. I do know the IP for the "website" it gives you, if it makes a difference.

Cloud? dropbox/google drive, depending on how good she is at following intructions/using a computer.

What kind of file we talking about here? Can grandma send this in an email or will you need to do a remote access login off her IP?

She isn't home, and I don't think she can access it (even though it is stored on a hard drive in her computer).

Sounds like your stuck, unless you know a pretty good deal about her system settings

If you have her IP, login, and remote is allowed on her PC then you could try the above^^

Less than a megabyte. Actually a folder (even though I think I have a zipped version somewhere). At least Vista has 30 days. It can wait for another key courtesy of the school.
