RAID card again

Here's my raid card that I bought from newegg.

LSI SATA/SAS 9212-4i4e

I'm using the new x99 deluxe motherboard from asus.

I don't see my raid cards post screen on startup, from other websites i've seen that there usually is a post screen on boot.

is my card dead?

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.
