Hey guys,

Need some help with my VG248QE. I have been trying a bunch of different settings and profiles that I have found through Google searches etc, but I haven't really found anything that I have been 100% happy with. It seems that there is the slightest blurriness that I have with every setting and cant find a setting that looks clear. So I was wondering what others who own this monitor use for their settings etc. If you guys could post what you use or suggest anything that I should try that would be great.

Unfortunately no. But I am selling my current GPU and looking to upgrade. Does the lightboost hack make a big difference?

Well it makes supposedly makes everything look much much "clearer". Also a huge benefit to FPS games as there is almost no motion blur.

well... not it's not that their is no motion blur. It strobes the light to make motion blur less visible to you. Will it cause you a headache? Depends on how sensitive you are.

They are people so sensitive (and this is not rare, they are thread that pop-ups here and there on it)  that ask for a monitor that doesn't cause headaches or more specifically doesn't use a PWM to control the backlight. As a PWM, is a cheap solution to control the brightness of the LED back light, but flickering them on and off, at different speed. Lower the brightness, slower the flickering, the more you see the flickering.

Ya I read about that somewhere too. Luckily I don't get headaches from it. I've been playing around with my settings and finally found something that works for now. Was thinking about getting a monitor calibrator but don't think that it would be worth it on this type of monitor.

The 7950 will be able to take advantage of the high hz rate. Probably wont be able to run every game on the best settings to be able to achieve the high frame rates needed though. All depends on the types of games you will be playing.

Thanks that's what I was thinking but someone else's idea is always nice thanks!
