So ive had a look at mobos and was going to get the gigabyte z97x gaming 3 because of the audio but it doesnt go wuth my phantom 410 in white and blue very well so the closest thing I could find was msi z97 sli plus in blue for the same price. But for the sacrifice on audio is it worth it ?

Have you considered getting some Plastidip and painting your case to match your board? Its not too expensive to get a few cans of plastidip and if you don't like the result then you can peel it off unlike normal paint.

If you have already picked out a motherboard you like then i don't think its a good idea to change it for a worse one just for the looks as you'll probably regret it later.

you will not notice any difference with the audio unless you play uncompressed audio files through a very high end sound system or ultra quality headset...if all you do is play games and listen to MP3 you won't notice it...games use bad audio compressed files to save on weight and cost for game development makes them use cheap sound effects...same goes for MP3, youtube videos...etc...everything is compressed to a degree where you can't tell the difference...go with the board you like the most and dont consider ''better sound maybe'' as a factor cause it's not.
