http://pcpartpicker.com/user/JohnnyL/saved/WHpD4D (also getting a few case fans from Corsair, they're the same one that the case already comes with)

First build, I'm not an expert. Will this run well. (serious) Am I overkilling anything, am I not killing something enough? (I'll stab it more if needed :P)

~Also it is black/red themed

~Trying to keep under 3000 USD

~Used for games such as Skyrim (modded), Arma 2 & 3, and any new games to come out in the future.

Taking all recommendations!

(This is my like third try at making one of these have nice parts)

Help, I need somebody. Help, not just anybody. Help, I need someone. Hellppppppp

Very Expensive first build you have there.

There are no major conflicts but:

Replace the CM V850 with an AX860, you'll love it. Replace the 780Ti with a GTX980 and get a Z97 board. Z87 is last-gen, you're going to want to keep to a Z97 Board (like the Red/Black Asus Maximus VII Hero, or go for a i7-4770k instead).

Go with this setup. Please.

CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($94.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($203.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($569.99 @ B&H)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($569.99 @ B&H)
Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($109.99 @ Micro Center)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro (OEM) (64-bit)  ($128.98 @ OutletPC)
Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor  ($459.99 @ NCIX US)
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard  ($110.99 @ NCIX US)
Mouse: Corsair Raptor M45 Wired Optical Mouse  ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Speakers: Logitech Z320 10W 2ch Speakers  ($51.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $3087.83
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

You'll spend $87 over your budget but will see about 2x the performance.

Many things you could change to be more cost:performance efficient.

The Gold motherboard will not match the build well also.

Here is a revised list:

CPU Cooler: Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($114.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($134.99 @ Micro Center)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($229.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 980 4GB Twin Frozr Video Card  ($586.13 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 780T ATX Full Tower Case  ($179.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer  ($16.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit)  ($90.26 @ OutletPC)
Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor  ($459.99 @ NCIX US)
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard  ($118.99 @ Amazon)
Mouse: Corsair Raptor M45 Wired Optical Mouse  ($39.99 @ Newegg)

Changed GPU to a 980, it is more expensive than the 780 ti but performs much better especially when going to higher resolutions like your 1440p monitor. It will also "last longer" with its newer release date.
Changed the motherboard and GPU, now it is MSI themed but keeps the black and red.
Changed DVD drive to a cheaper one that does the same thing
Changed the SSD to a more price:gb friendly option that is faster than the 730
The cooler master PSU is fine, but I changed it to a corsair AXi to match the corsair red theme. It is 860w which will be more than enough for 2 way sli in the future.
