HI

I recently make the jump from an 8350 to a Z97 I5 4690k. My motherboard is Gigabyte z97 Gaming GT, i bought it mostly for the pci lane and their spacing (2 x 3 slot card). Anyway  I use Gskill  rip jaws X series 1866 8 gig kit 2x4.

Here my problem

When i'm running  windows 50 % of my ram is utilized which seem really high,  i play mostly battlefield 4 and after 1 round more are less the performance drop significantly passing from 110+ fps to 55 or so and ram utilization hit 98 % which seem way to high.

i got a debug led  with the code D4 : PCI resource allocation error. Out of Resources

and something everything is ok  A0 code on the led 18 % Of ram utilized in windows everything  but when  i play 30-40 minute  this problem comeback sometimes

i try to move my ram in different slot or run only 1 at the time to see if there is a bad stick but it start and run ok

any tips for me????

Thank you very much and have a nice day

Did you reinstall Windows, or did you just swapped out the motherboard and CPU? If so, that is probably contributing to the issue.

1866MHz may not be stable for your 4690K as speeds beyond 1600MHz requires overclocking of the Integrated Memory Controller (IMC). For troubleshooting sake, drop the speed down to 1600MHz and see if the issues will occurs.
