Difference between 980 G1 and 980 Windforce

I think that the 980 G1 has cherry picked cores, meaning that they pick the most stable and best overclocking chips. The 980 Windforce is just a regular 980. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Well, the STRIX offers the silence you want, the fans are off until the card reaches 60C. I would imagine that the 980 G1 has the best cooling performance, since it has 3 fans and a seemingly beefier cooling solution, overclocking will vary per card, but like I said before, I think the 980 G1s are cherry picked cores so that means supposedly better overclocking on those. Haven't heard much of the MSI one, but I could imagine it's just as good.

Wow, but the STRIX 980 hasn't gotten as much attention as the STRX 970

The gigabyte g1 980 is pretty quiet too. I don't really hear mine at all.
