R9 270 temps

Go to solution Solved by NicekillBG,

So when it gets to 70 degrees Celsius its not a problem

with twin coolers it will be ok and buy an air conditioner nad the problem will get solved :D

Just don't let it get above 80C. I own the exact same MSI Twin Frozr R9 270. When I have the fans on 100%, I get to 54C MAX in Battlefield 4, if I use the default fan profile that it comes with it gets to 67C MAX. Temps up to 80C should be good. But I would start worrying a bit if it got to 75C.

So guys I live in Australia and it gets pretty fucking hot and I was wondering what are safe temps for my MSI R9 270

Cheers :D

Depends, are you living in a corrugated iron shed in Darwin with no windows? If not, then you should be right. If you don't use air-con then it might not be advisable to overclock during summer when it gets 40+. Other than that, that 270 should have no probs with in a case with half competent cooling.

Its important to know whether that's 70°C at 100% GPU usage, or idle, or 50%, or what. 70°C at full load is fine, pretty good even. But you wouldn't want it to get hotter than about 80 very often.
