ps3 sound crackling

my ps3 started having no sound or just a ton of crackling when music was playing or when i was in game if you can help plz do  :unsure:

How old is it? what type of PS3 is it? :-)

As Arokhantos said it could be some of those problems :-)

Also I find the elite 430 very small, it has no cable routing space in the back like you see in almost every other case, but it's a nice budget case, though I would not choose it if I was going to build a new pc today :-)
