New Build will not boot

I have just put together my first ever pc and the system wont boot to the BIOS, I have an ASRock Z87m that keeps giving the error code A2 which means there is a problem with the SATA devices however the hard drive appears sound just fine. I have tried various combinations of my SD and HDD in every SATA port with the same error. I have cleared the CMOS by both Jumping and using the button on the mobo and still nothing. I have even taken the mobo out of the case to attempt a boot to see if the board was shorting in the case but the error message once again was still the same. 

 

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Your build should POST regardless if it has a HDD/SSD. whoops I read that wrong..  You might have a bad board..

Did you plug and replug every cable at least twice?Did you try to use just one of the memory sticks?

#1 don't quote the op (always forget this one)

I agree, sounds like a bad board.

Seagate 1tb HDD
Corsair h90

Have I missed an incompatibility problem at all? I really dont want to have to go back to the seller...
