I'm having issues with my audio in Mint17. When I have audio go through my HDMI cable, which currently is the only video output I have, and I have my audio go through it too, the sound in Mint is garbled and filled with static. I have no problem with this through Windows, but Mint doesn't like it. My outputs are coming from my video card, which is an R9 290. The sound works fine through an auxiliary cable to some old speakers, but that's not ideal. Which brings me to my next point. I figure that it may be because of lack of video card drivers (I may be wrong though). I don't know how to install any drivers on Linux. I've heard that AMD drivers aren't compatible with Linux. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated thank you all
