760 lag issues

I've been have bad freezing/lagging in every game I play, for instance one minute I'm getting 60/70 fps and then it will struggle to get to 20. I have put my settings to lowest I can get them and I still have the same problem, I have had this problem despite the driver, I have the latest driver. Any ideas on how Ican I fix this?

full uninstall and full reinstall of drivers?
