Bluescreen after Windows 7 logo

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

Is this a clean install? aka you used the old drives from the last computer but formatted them and reinstalled windows onto them?

If not this is going to be your issue. You can't jump from one computer hardware conif and throw the OS into another config and expect it to boot. Your HAL's will differ and cause this BSOD.

Hey guys, today I built my first rig and already having problems with it. I'm going first to list the specs and then the problem itself.

Specs:

Intel i5 4690k

NZXT kraken x61

avexir blitz series 1.1 red led 2400mhz

Asus Maximus VI z87

MSI GTX970 GAMING 4G

Corsair AX860

Samsung EVO 840 250GB (windows 7 ultimate 64bit)

Samsung 1.5TB 3.5 inch (windows 7 ultimate 32bit)

Problem:

Everytime when I start the PC and the Windows 7 logo appears I get a bluescreen and the pc restarts it self. Both of the HDD work perfectly fine in my old PC and windows starts normallly. I can't tell the BIOS version at the moment, i'm going to update that later but I did no BIOS update. Would be nice if someone could help me. If there are some details missing please tell me.

^ This. Reinstalling windows should most likely fix your issue :)

You're using a windows 7 installation that has drivers and settings related to an entirely different machine. It's gonna do that.

As said above, doing a fresh install will definitely fix your problem. You really don't wanna be using that old PC's installation even if you could fix the boot problem.
