Best 15-17in Workstation Laptop under $1500

maximum

Looking into purchasing a new laptop for under $1500, between 15-17in and that is preferably a workstation(have a desktop workstation so some exceptions can be made).  Does anyone have a recommendation for a laptop or do your think I should wait for the next generation of computer?

I know you say workstation, but what specifically will it be used for(or what programs)?

Right off the bat I'd say latitude E65X0, but it has weakish graphics so it depends on the programs being used.

although the 8440P(older) is better because it has a Quattro card(IMO), while this laptop uses HD graphics

The 8440P is first gen Core tho... I miss mine (but I didn't have Quadro graphics, it was horrible first gen Intel HD?) R.I.P

Desktop: Intel Core i5 2380P (2400 w/o iGPU), MSI H61, 8GB RAM, 256GB SP610, 500GB WD Blue, HIS R9 280, Antec TruePower Classic 550W, Inwin MANA 134, QNIX QX2710, CM QuickFire Rapid, Logitech G402

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L40D, AMD A6-6310, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon R4 Graphics, 14" 1366x768

D:SF isn't that demanding, I can run it 720p low settings off integrated on my A8-4500M. Medium works well too but min frame rate drops a bit low sometimes

But it's running off a Quadro card, a Quadro card isn't built for gaming.

I will be using it for 3d modeling.  The programs I use are auto desk and solidworks.
