Will this bottleneck?

I have an AMD a6 6400k and I'm looking to upgrade my PC specifically a graphics card an Asus r9 270x for 155 dollars will my CPU bottleneck this graphics card or should I upgrade my CPU as well?

Well bf4 seems to be at the top of everyone's list haha I also play more non intensive games such as tera online need for speed etc.

ROFLMAO yes, it will bottleneck. A6 is a terrible CPU. Almost no cache. APUs are ok when used within their realm, but as soon as you start adding GPUs that can't dual graphics with the APU you're bottlenecking the GPU. 

Even the best APU is an inferior CPU to an FX4300, which is a pretty horrible CPU in it's own right. 

 

OP- if you want a decent discrete GPU you need at least an FX6300 CPU. And you need to overclock it. 

 

BF4 is a horrible, buggy mess. It has never been fixed. If you want headaches, play BF4. Otherwise I'd look at BF Hardline. Regardless, your terrible CPU is not good enough IMO.

Actually BF4 was just fixed. It's not perfect, but it's the way the game was intended to be played. It's a night and day difference. A lot more fun and enjoyable.

He's not asking if he'll have problems, he's asking if his CPU will bottleneck that GPU. And the answer is that yes, it will. Compared to a 4790K and the same GPU, his framerate will be lower. That's exactly what he's asking.
