Hi all, my budget is $2200 AUS

- GTX 980

- i7 5820K

- G.Skill DDR4  Ripjaws 4 16GB 2400

-  GIGABYTE GA-X99-UD4 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

- Corsair RM 1000 WATT Modular

- Samsung 840 Evo 250GB

- 1TB WD BLACK

- 3TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA

-  Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (CL-W007-PL12BL-A) Enthusiasts Class Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 360MM

- Corsair Air 540

So i wanted to put my 360mm rad at the front as an intake and but the 2 140mm stock fans up top, but i don't know if i should have the rad as the only intake or have the 2 top ones as intake and having only the back exhaust (I have a open window behide my pc so the hot air leaves my room as well as pc).

Thanks!

No, go with Z97, and switch to a 750W or 850W power supply.

980, i7-4790K or i5-4690K, 16GB of DDR3-2400, ASUS Maximus VII Hero, RM750, and keep everything else the same.

and dont forget to change the RAM to DDR3

requoting about DDR3, just to make sure it wont be missed.

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr

The PSU is way too overkill. And do you really need the i7 5820k?

Also, maybe 2 GTX 970 will do you better work than 1 980.

As for the fans... Linus have a video about this thing lately, so you can use it as reference for choosing where to put fans and in what direction.
