Hello,I'm new to the forum.I'm a 14 year old who loves PC gaming,Computers and technology in general.I want a better gaming machine than what I currently have.Id like to build a 4K Gaming PC that is overclock-friendly and can run most Games at reasonable FPS.I have a rough idea of the components I want, but Id like to see what people with more knowledge than myself think. My maximum budget is £3000($4790) by the way.Oh and one more thing, please remember that I'm only 14 and have only been PC gaming for 1 year, so I wont know as much as you will. Thanks ^_^

This is what I've came up with. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/8f6P7P

It's based on DDR4 and X99 architecture, it also has the same monitor etc. And it's cheaper

Some notes:

  • You can change the case if you wish - I put it in with airflow in mind, and expansion room
  • These 980's have had outstanding reviews etc
  • Caviar Blue's are nearly as fast as Black's. It isn't worth the extra £50 or so!
  • Samsung EVO SSD's are fast as hell. You've got a 500GB one :)
  • You could maybe even buy a bigger power supply if you wish. It's 850W with expansion in mind
  • The monitor is freaking awesome.
  • I'd recommend buying fans (static pressure for your coolers) and air flow for everything else. If you get that case with a ton of fans, it'll be cold as hell.
  • You won't need to upgrade for a long time
  • You could even buy NZXT Kraken G10's along with coolers and watercool your cards. CAUSE YOU CAN.

EDIT: Here's a link if you wanted to do the Kraken thing. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/knWjqs

EDIT 2: Second link changed.

If you have that much money to spend I would do something like this. No need to waste money on X99 when you aren't going to be streaming or rendering.

Bugger red and black! This is what you want. Super high end, but you're saving a pretty penny. The 4k monitor I changed for a G-Sync one. Everything is more cost effective in this build. Quieter too, changed the CPU cooler for something cheaper but quieter, and just about as good. The case has excellent airflow.

The only thing I would change would be to get this instead of the 4k monitor: Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q
