recently got another 4GB of RAM for my PC. Its exactly the same as my other stick of RAM (Corsair 1333mhz). I installed and my PC turns on but there's no display. But when I take 1 stick out and leave 1 in, my PC boots fine. I tested to see if the new RAM was faulty so I took my old one out and left my new one in and it boots up fine so the new RAM isn't faulty. I need help please,

Thank you.

P.S, my specs are:

AMD A6-5400K

asrock fm2a75m-dgs motherboard

Update: I tried increasing the voltage on the RAM slots and it worked but it only recognized one of the RAM sticks (4GB)

I still need help.

Thank you

fill slots one and two first. but consolt your manual to see what ones are 1, and 2. or it might say on your mobo.

nvm its only a two slot mobo...... get a new one, that sucks anyways

It could be that you have a faulty ram slot or that you simply didn't match EXACT dimms with each other. I find it's always beneficial to get the exact amount of ram you need (and can afford) as soon as you build your system because it's hard(er) to upgrade ram by adding more sticks (as opposed to new kits).

Edit:

Try to boot up with one dimm in one slot, then try the other slot and do the same. That way, you can at least try to rule out faulty ram slots.
