Hey , I built my pc around a year ago and while I'm happy with the performance etc I would like to upgrade my Case and Motherboard.

My current build is this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/SimplyFin/saved/TXLp99

Basically I want to upgrade the case and mobo because I would like to overclock my CPU and in general have some more space for extra hard drives , better cooling and better cable management (In my current build the cable management is atrocious .

So I'm really stuck in what to upgrade to , my budget is £100 (can stretch a little) . I was thinking of the Corsair carbide 200R as a case but I'm not too sure and as for the mobo and cooling options I'm really stuck.

All help and advice is greatly appreciated , thank you.

You don't need a better MoBo. That MoBo is actually the cheapest MoBo that has the VRM design beefy enough to support overclocking on FX series CPUs.

Ram is iffy, but should work just fine. You're probably not going to notice the increase in performance from going to 1333 to 1600.

There's also no real reason to get a new case unless one of 3 things is true. 1) You're constantly taking apart and rebuilding your PC. 2) You're unhappy with the aesthetics to a point you're willing to spend money to fix it. Or 3) You don't have enough airflow in your case to cool all the components.

Honestly, the next thing I'd do would be to get an aftermarket CPU cooler and overclock that CPU.

Whats wrong with my ram ? Also Its not so much the case I have a problem with its the Motherboard and unless I'm mistaken my current motherboard is not very suitable for overclocking and it does not support sata 3 or ram any higher than 1333mhz ?

The Cooler Master 212 Evo is the best budget CPU cooler out there, although if you care about quiet operation you might have to replace the 120mm fan it comes with (make sure the fan you get is a PWM fan). As for quiet and efficient, I don't know. I myself sacrificed quietness for cost savings.

Isn't the best budget cpu cooler  :o It competes with the Enermax ETS-T40, the Zalman CNPS10X, the NZXT Respire T40, Deepcool Gammaxx 400. They're all 120mm tower coolers. The performances are all very similar, so by definition the best budget cpu cooler would be whichever is the cheapest at the time of sale.

In New Zealand for example the Respire T40 is around $10 less than the Hyper 212 Evo. Ain't $10 better at cooling I can assure you.

Of those, only the NZXT Respire T40 is comparable because the rest have worse contact with the heatpipes, and the Respire T40 is out of production. All of your suggestions are more comparable to the Cooler Master Hyper T4. The reason why the Evo 212 is my recommendation is because it's the best you can get without spending obscene amounts of money for a CPU cooler yet it's only $30 USD here in the states, and you can't get a Respire T40 at any price because it's out of stock. The other two, while functional in their own right, don't hit the same performance level of cooling.

If you wanted to pick a cooler that came with a fan more to his liking, that's understandable.
