UPDATE: she just crashed again. I haven't tested the RAM as im near 100% it isn't the RAM. I just ran CCleaner and it picked up 3005 errors in my registry, all missing DLL's or something in the windows folder, so i think that was it! i'll wait to see if it crashes on me again.

If that doesn't help then I'd try what Krzyimprt suggested with running off 16GB's of RAM and trying that.

it has always had the random very rare crashes. it BARELY does them. maybe sometimes less than once a month.

Could be a problem that came with the motherboard, I'm assuming the crashes are getting more frequent since you've had several since you started this thread. Have you tried a fresh install of Windows?

no i havent tried that, i'd rather not. it goes through stages where it will crash 3 times a month for a month then not crash for months on end....

If the problem has been there forever, have you tried taking out the original 16GB's of RAM and running just off the new 16GB's of RAM?

no, but on second thoughts i dont think it may have been happening for ever. im pretty confident its not the RAM. it went through a stage where it blue screened every week but i found that to be a driver so i think it maybe another driver

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the display drivers?
