Up Scaling

Go to solution Solved by EcoBoost,

So it's okay right  :)

Yes, because basically what's happening is your GPU is making a 4K image, and your monitor is displaying a 1080p image, so no harm to your monitor will be done because as far as the monitor knows it's getting a 1080p image so it's displaying a 1080p image, it just makes your GPU render the image at 4K and then down-scaling it.

I've never done it myself cause 1440p is already good enough for me, and my 280 does struggle with it in some games when maxed out.

I wouldn't bother trying.

So I have 1920 x 1080p if I upscaled it for the 4k resolution will it harm my monitor ( I just want to test the performance of my GPU on suck resolution and I do know that the image will be unclear )
