Ethernet Issues

Hi all!

I am having problems, my ethernet seems to not want to work. I have 4 computers in the house, and have tried ethernet on all of them, and it doesnt seem to want to work. I get a little flashy light beside the ethernet on my motem, but its a no show. Wifi works fine, thanks for asking, its just no amount of systems plugged in will do ethernet. Help?

I am a beautiful person who is a good idea to have a good time to time and money to buy a new job and I need some help with the same time for the first time in the middle of the day.

Bad wiring or bad router. Is it the right wire (Cat 5e)? Try connecting one of those computers directly to the modem via ethernet.

They are directly in the motem. I have tried multiple cords. Nope. The wire is cat5e.

Update. Things changed, the ethernet led is brighter, there is a led in the ethernet ports on both the computer and the motem, but still no dice.

I am a beautiful person who is a good idea to have a good time to time and money to buy a new job and I need some help with the same time for the first time in the middle of the day.

On the computer, can you open up CMD (Windows key + R, type cmd) and run 

ipconfig /all
and post the results?
