Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Windows 8.1 issues

Just installed a sound blaster live card i had laying about and windows isn't detecting it quite right. It shows up in device manager as a PCI input device and a Multimedia Audio Controller. I tried downloading the driver from the site, but the 8.1 version of the download won't detect it and the XP version doesn't install properly. Help?
