need help with alan wake lagging

i just bought it on sale this weekend and started it up today and i get choppy sound and when i started in the game i could see through the ground, so i started messing with some setting and any resolution under 1200x720 fixes the ground problem but its stil laggin i get like 10fps.  so far i have checked to see if all the files downloaded ok and they did.  heres my specs: core i5 750 OC'ed 3.5Ghz,  msi gtx 670 PE,  corsair TX750 power supply  gigabyte p55 motherboard.  thanks in advance for the help.
