Hi ! I just finished a new build and i thought i might be able to install os x mavericks on this. Just wanted to know if all parts are going to work tho. 

 

List:

Asus VII Gene

Intel I5 4690K

Raedeon r9 290x

8Gb crusial balistics 1600 sports

Not until 10.10 is released. There are no drivers for 290/290X ATM.

 

Audio might not work with that board because of the custom Codec but the USB bypass is always an option.

Your best bet will be to go to http://www.tonymacx86.com/home.php and check on their build guides.

you'd have to go for the yosemite (10.10) beta instead of mavericks because hawaii core gpus (r9 290/x, and w9100, 8100) aren't (and probably will never be) supported in mavericks like @NicholasMarzio said.

Well 10.10 is now out and working, running it now.
