Best z97 motherboards

I'm designing a pc build, and have had trouble when it comes to motherboards. I am a first time builder and am somewhat scared by the frequency of reviews reporting DOA, broken BIOS, screwed up audio and the like, spanning all manufacturers and brands. I would like to know if there is a very good RELIABLE z97 motherboard (preferredly under $200) which I can buy and not have to worry about.

Thanks, I know mobos can be fickle, but I'd really like peace of mind when I spend my money on a computer.

Asus maximus VII Hero.

 

true 8 powerphase board with digi vrm, 10k black caps highcurrent chokes.

Best overclockers friendly bios (personal opinnion) intel lan, nice onboard audio.

 

But basicly every decent Z97 board will be okay for most people.

Just dont go to cheap.
