Switch java versions?

Long story short, I like to play the attack of the b-team minecraft modpack, which is NOT compatible with Java 8, and I host a server for my friends on my pc. I need Java 8 to host the server. I've just been uninstalling and reinstalling java, but there's got to be a better way, any suggestions?

I get errors when I try to run bteam with java 8 installed. I don't really want to mess with vms unless neccessary

are you sure you need java 8 to run the server

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

The Java Control panel lets you pick which Java the system will use and you can install pretty much as many java versions as you like. You may have to install it in another location other than C:\Program Files  or the (x86) dir. I usually use C:\Java and have my multiple java's there so I can have different versions of a same version (think multiple v8's or v7's, etc).

Java is not backward compatible, don't fall for that line. I use a v6 install to run certain things with not security BS v7 and v8 introduced. Hey, its stuff I need to get the bills paid so no way am I letting it go.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
