Lower temps

I'm trying to lower the heat out put of my PC since its summer. I mostly use my to watch You Tube and Netflix which is far from taxing on my PC.

 

I have a t1090 and a Radeon hd 6850

 

Now would it be better to disable cores, lower the CPU ratio, lower the core clock, ect.

It would be best to upgrade the cooler.

 

How are the temps looking right now under full load? Idle temps mean nothing really..

the CPU temps are fine (around 50c under full load) its the heat output to keep my room cooler

I'd say under clocking is better, however that is like overclocking in the sense that you'll decrease the frequency, which then you'll decrease the voltage but you have to find what is stable,

That was my thinking but I wasn't sure if it was the best way(with out changing hardware)

Well I know that will lower temps, or you can do both if you think you won't be needing the extra cores.
