Nvidia Control Panel Settings Reverting

I just recently got a Lenovo Y410P. I have reinstalled Windows 8.1 and updated all the drivers and am running the Geforce 344.11 drivers. My GPU is the 750M and the laptop includes Optimus. Whenever I change a setting in the Nvidia control panel and restart the control panel, the changes are reverted. This is very frustrating because it means I can only run games off the integrated graphics for the time being. What should I do? Please help me.
