Gamecube adapter for Smash does all the things (or not)

This adapter will allow you to connect your GameCube controller to the Nintendo Wii or Wii U. Connect your GameCube controller to your Wii or Wii U console. Compatible with all games supported by the Wii Classic Controller, Wii Classic Controller Pro and Wii U Pro Controller.

So not only are they getting Gamecube controllers for Smash but they'll also work for Mario Kart 8, Wind Waker HD and any other Wii U game that supports the traditional control schemes. Even more than that it'll allow people who have the later version of the Wii to play Brawl, Kart and N64 VC games with one of the better controllers for those games. And to that you might say "who cares" but if they allow that then they are almost certainly also allowing it in Wii Mode on the Wii U. So on one machine you'll be able to play Smash Bros 64, Brawl and Smash Bros Wii U all with what is arguably the best controller for the game.

If it's that simple an open a thing? Wow. This is awesome. Near-official support for the Wavebird on PC in 3, 2.....

edit: changed title, they changed the listing. It does not do all the things. :(

Recently been confirmed that it will only work on Wii U and only with Smash Bros for now. Although the original listing indicates that compatibility for more games/controllers could be in the planning but won't be ready for the launch of the device.

Heres hoping it gets added in through a patch or update.
