Increase GPU clock = lower voltage.

Hey guys,

So I am raising my clock on evga precision x 16.

And I go from 620mhz and 920mn to 670mhz and 870mn. I can raise it up to 732mhz and still see a voltage of 870mn.

Isn't that counter productive?

I would expect the voltage to increase and not lower.

Any insight?

you want the voltage to be lower, less heat.

Wait did you manually raise the voltage? Did you change anything regarding voltage? The card doesn't automatically do that.

No I didn't, I tried 732mhz and now it is showing 800mn.

It will create less heat, but less power = less performance no?

Ps: my temp averages at 76, sometimes it will spike at 80 and drop down. But if I touch the memory, it instantly crashes.
