Well basicly Idle 2.7G on startup , Normal.

 

What's not normal is after closing anything and its completely gone after closing it off of task manager a looot of i think reserved is still there so currently with only 3.5G or so worth of memory is being used while it's currently at 6.5G .. For what ever reason it wont just "release" the ram. halp

Just cause you close a program does not mean your ram will let go of the space. Check your grammar also

Get malwarebytes, and the antivirus you prefer, scan your pc to find out if there's something infecting it, also glary is a good idea to keep an eye on those apps that can be causing the overuse of ram.

 

How much ram do you have?, because Windows usually takes ram based on the total amount you have.

 

EDIT: Are you using Windows 7 Ultimate, 'cause it may explain it....

maybe you have a lot of background processes running? check the services tab on task manager
