I NEED the optical drive so if you HAVE to change my build then keep that the same

Also i would like some ACTUAL opinions instead of just a long list of builds that i should do

The i5-4460 is only a couple of dollars more and 200MHz faster. An H97 motherboard is a better fit with a Haswell Refresh cpu. The one choosen also supports 4 memory slots which allows for a 2x4GB dual channel kit and room for memory expansion. The Core 1000 USB 3.0 is an mATX case and brings everything in on budget.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
