One Plus or Nexus X

I just got my 64GB One Plus invite today and im not too sure if i should get it or wait for the Nexus X. Nexus X sounds pretty dope, but they aren't saying much about price right now. Which one would you guys recommend? I should say that i don't plan on gaming on my phone at all.

I would wait for the Nexus to be honest. Not just because of a code, but it will be faster and, well, it's a nexus

Pretty much every aspect of the nexus X still has potential to change as it hasn't been announced yet. Screen size, processor, resolution, storage etc. The OPO is a decent phone, a number of people here have one, they'll likely vouch for it. 

I say go with whatever you feel will last the longest, I'm waiting for the nexus but I don't have OPO invites to worry about.

Depends if you like large phones. If the rumors are true, the Nexus 6 will be quite large. Larger than the OnePlus One. However, that phone isn't a small phone by any stretch of the imagination, either.

So really, in hand they'll probably feel about the same.

 

I'd go with the Nexus just for the Google support, and I haven't been the hugest fan of the OnePlus company. Saying they'll release a phone that's smaller, the invite system, some of their ad campaigns, and now the discontinuation of the snap on back covers that, to me, were a huge draw to begin with; not cool.

 

I also think you'll have a greater warranty with Google.

I'm in the same boat, got an invite last night.  I'll probably pull the trigger on the 1+1 when I get home from work, unless Google does something crazy in the next few hours.

You give too much credit to the average non techie. If someone doesn't know who OnePlus is, they most likely do not know who Oppo is either.
