hi all,

i am getting a 2nd r9270x gpu.

what psu should i get? im looking at the corsair ax860 and the antec hcp 850 but is there a more suitable one maybe i could get?

also im running corsair h00i, amd phenom ii x4 965be and 5 hdd's so will 850-860 be enough?

thanks in advance

a 600W psu is more than enough . your pc will use like 400W at wall. upgrade cpu instead there will be bottlenecks

850W you need when you have 2x 290X oveclocked...

i plan on upgrading cpu soon.motherboard and psu first as im still happy with my current 965 @ 3.7ghz. im a amd fan so will keep with them and see what the new cpu's bring!

an 850 watt psu would definitely be enough. Leaves you allot of room for further upgrades. It is enough power to run crossfire no problem if you ever decide to go that route. In reality all you really need is a 650 watt psu but you wont be able to run a crossfire setup with that in the future.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz
