I'm going to build this computer very soon. I want final thoughts on this build. I posted a previous thread on this very build a couple months ago.

How balance is this build?

Anything you would change?

This thread is not an AMD vs Intel. I just went with AMD because I will do moderate gaming during PharmD or Dental School. At the same time, I want to cut down the cost while maintaining decent performance. The extra money is for necessities such as food, clothes, and taking girls on dates :wub: .

I expect this computer to last for the next 3-4 years in terms of usage during graduate years.

Looks good to me :) you may have to upgrade the Graphics card at some point if you want it to last upto 4 years playing games at a high quality (not sure if you do) but apart from that you should be good

Yes Yes Legalize Gay Marriage sure, but have you ever considered Weaponizing Gay?

I'd get rid of some of those fans and see if you can squeeze in a 280/285, whichever is cheaper. I would only really keep 1 fan I think.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

If you just want a cheaper machine, have you considered an Intel G3258? Also used Nvidia 700 series cards are dirt cheap atm if you want to get some more value for your money. You can get a 780 classy for around $300 and slightly less for the regular 780s. A 770 is around $200 or so.

Looks like a good build, though there are allready fans installed in the chassis, so if you want to save some cash you can cut out the bitfenix fans. I'd recommend a SSD that will increase the lifespan of your system.

@Juganog

Should I bump the 270X to a regular 280 and overclock the 280?

@Sack

I want white LED inside my case. Maybe 2 140mm White LED Fans for the front panel and get cathodes. xD

If your budget can accommodate a 280 i would say yes and perhaps a 120gb ssd for better OS loading times

I considered that same Duo-Core CPU. I don't think it will last me 3-4 years down the line expecially when I enter graduate school where they will be using 3D rendering programs.

I think they released a new card that is just above it in performance which pushed it down, making it a bit cheaper. Maybe something like that.
