  1. Very nice, shaved off a good amount with this suggestion, thank you. Now I just need to figure out if intel B580 or a used RTX 3070.
  2. The specs and price looks very enticing, however I've read that it can have issues with older games? Some of my favourite games that I enjoy replying are the steam releases of older FF titles. Do you know if there's a list of supported titles?
  3. Budget (including currency): ~$1200 USD Country: Norway Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I've decided I finally need to rebuild my 10+ year old rig with new components, currently running: i7 4770k 16 gb of DDR3 memory GTX 1070 I've toyed with the idea of doing a platform swap and buy a used RTX 20 or 30 series card when I found the time to start watching the used markets in my country. However, with the amount of hours I'm putting into work I don't really want to spend my off hours looking for GPU deals. I want to play some older games and some new AAA games, the main motivation for this right now is FF7 Rebirth, which doesn't even run on a 10-series card. I have a 1440p 120HZ main monitor with G-sync, I'm not looking to crank everything to max (haven't been able to that for years anyway), but I want atleast 60 fps with modest graphics settings. I will be re-using my 750 w PSU, case, air cooler, boot SSD and mass storage HDDs. I tried posting to reddit but the advise I got was to buy cheaper everything (no specifics) until I could buy a 4070 Ti, but I would need some guidence in able to fit that into my budget. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it, not married to any brand, but I have picked this motherboard so I could get integrated wifi and bluetooth without purchasing extra dongles. 4. Your issue is hardware related, nothing more you can do, other than start the RMA process.
  5. If possible, try installing to a different drive. This sounds suspiciously like a drive that is just barely functioning before it dies.
  6. Your temps are within the safe operating temperature, so there's no issue really.
  7. I'm pretty sure rolling back the update is possible, but it's gonna take some research and effort on your part, if you feel like it's worth putting in the work you're able to do it. Since it's a Samsung note it should be able to install lineage OS which should improve your phone experience immensely imo.
  8. If you can get to a place where you can experience the different mechanical switches, I recommend that you go try them out, I myself thought I would like brown switches but in reality they mimicked something that I thought felt like worn out rubber dome switches and what i really wanted was red switches, even for typing I love them.
  9. Holy macaroni, I was away for a while, are they not eligible for litigation by Apple anymore?
  10. yeah asking about hackintiosh isn't allowed here... Edit: rules were updated, apparently.
  11. Game freezes, that' not very specific, is it? What game are you playing?
  12. Here's your answer.
  13. The only benefit I can think of is that it's less likely to sag, I have a 1070 and the sag is noticeable, the beefier the cooler the greater the risk of sag is.
  14. The reason why the new ones are cheaper is because of improved production methods, and smaller die sizes, giving them more yield per silicon wafer.
  15. Liquid metal conducts electricity, I would strongly advise against this, although it would work, and corrosion might be a thing as well.
