Windows 8.1 from G2A

Go to solution Solved by MbV93,

My desktop PC and Laptop both have Windows 8.1 from G2A, I've had them for a few months now, no issues yet.

Is it safe to buy windows 8.1 from users on G2A or should I buy directly from G2A, and if I do buy from a user, would the product key work whilst trying to get the ISO, or will I have problems down the road if I buy from a user?

Just check their reviews, if they have good reviews they're probably safe to buy from.

I bought my copy from G2A, it works fine. just make sure you get the G2A guarantee or whatever it's called.

(Turns out I could have gotten 8.1 for free through my work :/ )

How long have you had it for though?

A few weeks now. I have had no issues thus far with it.

AFAIK 2 years.

The keys themselves work unless Microsoft catches on to the accounts making unlawful purchases of keys on behalf of others. That doesn't make it right though.

Well even if they catch on, will anything happen to me or will I just need to download a new OS?

No clue. I doubt anything would happen to you. However I hope you're approach to life isn't "since I can get away with it, I'll do it."

Well obviously not on a scale I assume you are thinking of, but if it's an OS and I can get it for cheap now and eventually get one from Microsoft later then yeah I'll do it.
