no internet?

Got a pc yesterday put it together got my ssd as boot drive after some help but now I have a new problem.

I pluuged a ethernet cord into the back of my pc to the build in internet adapter and windows says there is no "properly installed network adapter".

But its a build in one to the mobo.

It says connections are avaliable but I dont know if or how to activate the port.

Mobo is a msi z97 gaming 3.

Thanks for help in advance from someone more skilled than me.

Download the LAN driver v1.1.42.1045

Did you install the drivers for the motherboard?

No internet? but you're replying to us.... upload it to a file server.

Use your disk of course. It has all chipset drivers. LAN, audio etc. :)

I forgot about that... I never use the CD's because they're all online and most recent. Not to mention I haven't had a CD/DVD in my rig for at least 5+ years.

Giving that a run it shows internet drivers on the list of dl's so waiting for that now -.-

I feel sooo stuipid right now.
