(Windows 8.1) Can't record anything

Hey guys so I'm at a bit of a conundrum at the moment.. 

 

I've been trying to record my game-plays (on both Camtasia Studio and OBS), and cant seem to record anything more (visually) than my desktop.

 

I can get sound, mouse clicks etc, but nothing visual at all

 

I've been told it might have to do with the Aero theme (which I have no clue about)

You need to set up scenes or play games in windowed mode to record them. If you want to record games with OBS you need a new scene with game capture.

In OBS when you start game then ALT+TAB back into Windows and add scene for that game. It wont be possible to add that scene before you launch the game.

Screw OBS its laggy at best IMHO use MSI afterburner then just setup a Shortcut key to record done!
